I have a question about Drivers Licenses in Texas?

So I have my permit and have already taken the test, and in order to avoid a regular behind the wheel class I ordered the parent taught packet from the DPS. However, inside the packet, it says "No instruction is permitted prior to receipt of the Parent Taught Driver Education Packet. Any instruction prior to that time will not be accepted toward the required instruction time." So, I was wondering, since I've already basically completed my in class training, should I just fill out the behind the wheel portion and pass it off as if I've done the whole packet normally? Like is there any way for the DPS to know I didn't use the drivers ed packet for the WHOLE course?
