Why don't my tweets show up on my Facebook?

I used to have another Facebook account connected with the same Twitter account I have now, but I deleted that account. Now, my tweets never show up on my wall although it says that my Twitter account is already connected to my Facebook account. Please help! I prefer tweeting over updating my status! :) Thanks!
