The ability NOT to stream on Window 7 starter ?

Does that include News videos ie BBC ITN ect If so its the most Stupid OS that Windows have ever come with....Is there an app ( non microsoft) that can get around these damn silly restrictions and play streaming news, music and movies..... which is basically the whole point of a net book.... If I just want to write e mails and tweet I can use my I Phone......Windows SUCK
